When it comes to purchasing a hard case for your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro, you want to be sure that you’re buying the right one.

Hard cases work great for people who are carting their macbook to school or travel often, because it can protect the device from getting dinged or dented if you accidentally drop it.

Not all cases are created equal 

Some cases, in fact, block air flow and can cause the MacBook to overheat. Some can even damage the hinges of devices, causing them to wear out sooner than they should. That’s obviously not what you want!

Buying a case is easy

If you’re already buying a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro from us, upon checkout we’ve gone ahead and matched the specific case for the year and model of device you’ve chosen to take the guesswork out it

You can also look at the title of whichever MacBook you’re buying and you’ll see the A#### number in the title.  

If you are not buying a MacBook from us, It’s extremely important that you follow the steps below to find the right case; we’ve had customers who search “15 inch MacBook case” for example, and since there’s many more than one 15 inch model, they end up buying the wrong case and it doesn’t fit on their device properly!

I.E. Both an A1398 case & an A1707 case are for 15 inch MacBook Pros, however they are slightly different due to the shape of the macbook and will not fit unless you’ve chosen the right case for your model.  

While we offer free returns…it’s still unnecessarily frustrating to get the wrong case in the mail and have it not fit your MacBook.

So here we go…

If you already have an Apple laptop but are simply looking for a case for it, take the following steps to choose the right one

1st option to find model number - easiest option

- Turn your laptop over

- On the back top of the laptop, you’ll notice a model number that starts with an A

- Enter that model # into the search bar to find the case you’re looking for

2nd option to find model number

- Turn on the macbook and login to the operating system

- Click the apple in the top left corner and choose “about this mac”

- Copy the serial number 

- open a live chat on our site and ask us to help you get the A#### model number

Currently we only offer black hard cases, but we’d be happy to custom order the color of your choosing. Simply reach out to our customer support live chat and we’ll be happy to assist you with your MacBook Case purchase.

Please note, for any custom orders, shipping may take longer; however if you order a black case from us, we’ll ship it out the same day you decide to buy, as long as your order is placed before 2pm mountain time, monday through friday. If you place an order after 2pm on any given Friday, we will ship out your case the following Monday (unless it’s a postal holiday).
